Nothing seems to compare to BF2

I try a bunch of games but NOTHING seems to compare to bf2. The closest things ive gotten to pure enjoyment was MW2. Its a shame really, BF2 set the bar so high that no one else can touch it. I try new games all the time, but i always think to myself ""i dont like the feel of this game"".

Also i loved Fallout 3, but thats not the same type of game as bf2.

Im downloading borderlands now, in hopes that its as awesome as Fallout3.

I did, he was looking for something to be similar to Bf2 and ended up playing MW2. I was curious why he was comparing them?

I know what you mean Mitch, tried COD 4 or w/e it was and wasnt that much into it, the squad play was what I used to like about BF2. I used to smoke about 4 spliffs playing it and when I didnt have any weed it just wasnt the same and I couldnt get into it, my attention span would be a lot less when not stoned

It could be I epically burned myself out on fps because I just have zero interest anymore.

Ha true, but when i came here 1350 days ago, bf2 didnt suck. punkbuster wasnt an intrusive little cuntfuck who keeps giving me heartbeat errors and kicking me from servers, there wasnt the stupid ass nerfed out patchs like now days, - back then, you played with what was givin to you, and you either learned how to use those advantages to win or you got pwned. It was up to servers back then to decide what was allowed, whether it be bunnyhopping, dolphin diving, ect.

Hell, i even miss pistol knife servers. Those shits were fun as fuck.

Sisco - I really dont mean to be a cock, I dont know many other games like this but Im struggling like fuck to think of others to compare. I used to play Operation dragon or w/e it was called, there was two of them in the series I think.

I dont use my pc now and I wouldnt go out and buy games like BF2 for it, but else is available/can be compared to BF2 other than Mw2/cod.

Don´t worry, I´m not trying to pull an argument here, I was merely curious what drove him to it, cause it did not appeal to me as a substitute for Bf2.

No I know exactly what you mean and Im certanly not here to argue or anything but just out of curiosity, what else is out there?

I always seemed to be a few steps behind, for eg, found a server which was always full, the clan would invite me to squad up with them, join the clan and then the server starts getting empty, then clan members leave and before you know it its dead. This was about a cycle of 12 months. Where do you think most people went/were going. Differn't games? Differn't servers? Maybe it was an age thing, where after 2-3 years 15 year olds start going to uni and meet girls, ewwwww, girls. That dont mean I like boys.

BF2:BC seems to be fairly similar. Sure it's not quite in line with the BF series (1942-> 2 -> 2142 -> etc), but so far I'm really enjoying it. Might be good enough to soak up the time until BF3 comes out.

Also I love TF2 to death, sure it's not your average FPS and it's really cartoony but the gameplay can be absolutely fantastic.

oh god totally. whenever my girls around shes all like wow all you ever do is game when thats totally not true i only fire up a game like once a week and the rest of the time is spent with her. i hate girlfriends

I was thinking the other day how much better CS:S was than any of it's similar games.. (CoD2, 4). It's a lot better balanced, a lot harder to pick up, and it came out a year before BF2 did. I wish I had bought it earlier..

BF2: Bad company 2 is hopefully going to rock! Im waiting anxiously to see if it lives up to its bf2 ancestor.

Also, semi-related, Team Fortress 2 was super fun. Cept i only had a 3 day fullversion trial of it....
