no worries
everything i write is a ramble and should not be taken seriously.... seriously. ♥
ATi 5970 should be the "money no object", not the 5870.
Also,
Also,
Gigabyte makes awesome motherboards too. And XFX is the only manufacturer worth getting for GPU's, if you have the option. G.Skill RAM is good for price/performance.FloppY_ wrote:
Brands worth getting imo:
ASUS (Mobo & GPU), Sapphire (ATi GPU), Corsair (RAM & PSU)
TBH you are missing high-end, 0.0001% can afford the price irrelevant setup.
few things for the price irrelevant setup:
Intel CPU: i7 980X
Motherboard: EVGA Classified X58
ATI: 2x HD 5970
Ram: 6x2GB Corsair Dominator GTX 2250MHz
Storage: 4x Intel X25-M G2 160GB
HSF: Corsair H50 or Prolimatech Megashadow (megahalems in black) + 2 fans

Yeah you need more sections
Budget/Mid/Performance/Enthusiast/Trust Fund
Budget/Mid/Performance/Enthusiast/Trust Fund
you can add Coolmaster Hyper 212+ for a budget cooler
Very nice Good Job

I feel it is needed to seperate the Intel and AMD tables. Here is the Intel table, more alternative components will be added when I have time.
Disclaimer: Any selectrion from these will do nicely. Opinions about which ones of them YOU prefer will change. Open for suggestions. You may have to double check things like cooler come with the right mounting kits and such! It never hurts to ask if you are unsure!

I am not going to put any more liquid cooling on the recommandations than H50. Aquarium is not fun. Ppl who do that won't be reading these. They know the shit or at least they should know.Cybargs wrote:

Why dont we just split this up into 4 sections, makes more sense to me.
Budget is fairly obvious, in the <£400 sort of range
Mid price, next step up, reasonable for gaming etc. £400-800 ish range.
High End, very good but expensive stuff, £800 plus.
Money no option, best there is, regardless of cost.
#edit: also section for monitors?

hardly high end
Yes. Hardly indeed.
Well it's not is it, you just like to think it is 'cause you bought one.Finray wrote:

Lol Cammy you obviously know nothing. Why are you doing this thread?

I'm not saying it's high end because I bought one, I bought one because it is high end.
