To upgrade from your current CPU you'd be better off with a quad core, an E8500 again isn't really much of an upgrade.

Might as well keep to your current build for now... Upgrade in a year or two when i7 920 prices plummet. And then overclock that bitch. DDR2 ram 4gb should be dirt cheap right now.
