but yeah, no oscars for taxi driver, citizen kane (well, that was because of hearst), hitchcock, kubrick (ok, one for special effects, meh...), goodfellas (ok, one for joe pesci, meh...), dr. strangelove, a clockwork orange etc.

in 1994 (?), three great movies were nominated (pulp fiction, forrest gump and the shawshank redemption). that was hard to decide, i must admit...

GS did point out a few errors in regard to how some things worked.

I personally couldn't give a shit what other people say. Not once did I see it advertised as the most accurate war movie ever before I saw it. I prolly would have just laughed it off. One thing I did like about the movie was that it wasn't an opened and closed plot. That does resemble rl. For example, what happened to his baby's mama and him?
