I quite agree with KENNINGS here. "Standard" college wear for a guy is probably shorts, sandals, and a hooded sweatshirt for whichever university he attends.

For the money, Express is good for slacks and dress shirts and sometimes jeans, but they've sort of feminized a lot of the color schemes they use for their men's clothing in the past few years, and some of their jeans follow the more-expensive-because-its-already-ripped-and-stained style, so it's kind of hit or miss these days.
