I just got a county job. It's in the wrong county though.

Still...
12 Vacation days per year plus 1 floating holliday.
5 sick days.
$1000/mo for health insurance. (I can choose any plan offered or decline them all and keep the money) Obamacare's gonna fuck me on that real soon though.

$63k/yr for the first 6 months, $73k/yr after that. And they back pay me for the past 6 months that I should have been making $73k so I'll get a huge check at my 6 month mark. Should be somewhere around $10k right before xmas.

I no longer have to pay social security tax.

I get a pension.
$1200/mo after 10 years, $2400/mo after 20, etc.

I can't wait to see what my paychecks will look like after I hit that 6 month mark.

Yeah, I had some really crappy luck in 2007. Brand new truck got stolen. Had to keep making $700/mo payments for 3 months afterwards while waiting for insurance to pay off. During month number 2, my house burned down and I lost everything I owned. Had to move in with my ex who immediately started cheating on me = homeless for a month. Lived out of my $600 car.

And some other less important stuff...

2007 sucked my ass.

But my $30 got you wasted on hard liquor and you forgot your troubles for a day didn't you.
