So those tickets you posted pics of earlier were a complete waste of money...
Saw immortal technique on Friday. Chino XL was there, as he seems to be with all technique shows now. Last time I ever see a technique show in OC
I'd argue the 15 minutes we did see were worth it. None of us were too bummed over it, we were pretty happy we saw any of it.coke wrote:

Ended up getting quite stoned, drinking wine and talking music with my mate till 3am afterwards, fun times

you should be wary when metric is one of the "major" acts
"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
i went 2 years ago when metric was a headliner, they were my favourite of the entire festival. id gladly see them over snoop dogg or the black keys
i love metric but i've heard they suck live from a few peopleWinston_Churchill wrote:

still trying to see the black keys... had to sell my tix for their concert at MSG last week
nah, they had the biggest response from the crowd that year other than arcade fire. black keys were at it 2 years ago but were fairly unknown at that point, i didnt like them at all
the only time i've listened to metric is when they opened for muse. i think they were ok but i never really listened to any of their other stuff. suggestions?

well my favourite album of theirs is fantasies, so most stuff from there. Help I'm Alive, Gold Guns Girls, Gimme Sympathy, Stadium Love are their big songs on that. apparently theyre coming out with a new album just before the festival so im sure a lot of it will be that. metric is also a very well liked band in canada since they throw free public shows all the time in montreal and toronto (and i assume other cities)
either way, im more interested in seeing mgmt and sigur ros, as well as justice, feist, metric, florence, yeasayer, passion pit, young galaxy since ive already seen metric and black keys.

Some really good bands on that list. There's also some that I had no idea were still around
Just bought a ticket to see Karnivool in July
might see Mastodon with Opeth in May
I've never seen them perform but they've been doing some impressive things lately.
I thought this would be a good place to ask if anybody knew any good clubs in NYC at reasonable prices. Which in-house DJs are the best? The sheer number of clubs and DJs playing New York on April 20th is just too much to sift through.

Missed Skream and Benga cause I was sick as fuck Tobacco on April 18th.
Tenacious D in June...
Tempted, but I fucking hate London.
I'll regret it, but... Meh

The Tobacco show last night was short but awesome. I thought he was headlining but he only did a 45 minute set before Com Truise.
i love london
