that's exactly what i'd be hoping for if i was at a big boi concertHome wrote:
Big boi concert was actually kind of dissapointing. The speakers were turned up so loud that it was just washed out and you couldn't hear the track or the words.
Saw them in Seattle a couple months ago... the finale songs were turned up so loud that it seemed sort of silly. Amazing light show, though.Brasso wrote:

They are played occasionally on our 'alternative' (read: not just top 40/80's songs) radio station so I guess kind of known, but electronic music doesn't really go into more depth than not rock music from my experience (in Australia) but maybe its like that anywhere unless you are really looking.PrivateVendetta wrote:
Always wondered how big they were over in Australia, they sort of made a name for themselves UKside, but originated in Aus with different music.. Wanted to know how much had found it's way back.

This. And Triple J (The only station with any taste) has a lot of different genres to cover, so we miss out on a lot of music.TimmmmaaaaH wrote:

Not like Pendulum make good music anymore so its not really that big of a loss.
edit: I should make it clear that when I say our alternative radio station, its one radio station out of maybe 4 or 5 national FM stations, where the others are two top 40/pop, and the others are 80's and other assorted old/bad music. There is no BBC Radio 1 or whatever that just plays electronic music (that I know of).

Here at least there's a dance music station only. They tend to play the same 15-20 tracks in a playlist over and over and over again though. Otherwise, you're correct - there's the pop/top40 station, the 60's/70's/80's station. Everything else and everything new that doesn't chart goes to triple j.TimmmmaaaaH wrote:
