The guys at Verizon said they are definitely getting it but I don't think they are dropping ATT. Nothing officially announced though.

i have to agree, droids are amazing, but for some reason ive always wanted an iphone and i cant explain why. i have a few friends that have blackberrys and they all arent too happy with them.

im pretty sure ATT data plan is around 20 bucks more though, and if you live in northwest ohio, good luck finding service. my aunt and uncle both have ATT, one of them has decent service, the other doesnt and it always varies between who and who doesnt.
I don't think Verizon will get it for some time. They're switching to LTE for 4G, but it hasn't widely deployed yet. I don't think Apple would release a CDMA iPhone that will be "outdated" after a year. And we all know how Apple showed up late to the 3G party.
AT&T and Verizon are about the same, and AT&T's coverage is fucking awful in the Bay Area and NYC. It's not too hot in DC either. I'd say the best coverage is Verizon followed closely by Sprint. AT&T and T-Mo are tied for me... AT&T does have more coverage, but at least T-Mo is cheaper.

Whether or not a so-called “leaked prototype” was meant for the general public or the Verizon network is unknown. Some are keeping their fingers crossed that Apple was working on a special phone for Verizon, whereas others were hoping that the entire iPhone is getting a re-design.
Still yet, Apple is rumored to be having a big announcement on June 22, 2010. This could just simply be the launch of the new 4.0 OS which has been revealed, but then again it could be something much, much more. We expect it to be something pretty big because June 22 is near the end of Apple’s fiscal quarter.
For now, if you want the slickest phone on the Verizon network, you need to go with the HTC Incredible. It’s truly, well, Incredible – if you like the Droid OS. If you want an iPhone and can’t get off of Verizon’s network, don’t worry. AT&T’s exclusivity deal with Apple is bound to end one day, and Apple is going to want to expand their US customer base for the phone.

Anyone who remotely follows technology knows that for the past few years, every summer Apple has announced a new version of the iPhone.
