Cool poll bro
i haven't even seen it in the cinema, everyone i knew had already seen it, but i didn't really care either
I saw it once in 3D and thought it was fantastic. I get the feeling the second viewing would be completely different, so I'm making sure I don't watch it again. Titanic had the same affect on me too, tbh............. hang on............
Well well. Who is this fine young gentleman?^*AlphA*^ wrote:

Well certainly not yet.
I can't believe the first release has no special features on it. (Or so I heard anyway)

Why would I pay to be hassled and watch a lower quality version of the same thingmovie

I already own both Pocahontas and Dances With Wolves.
No, Im not into films, I dont have an HD tv (do have a ps3 though), and its a catrooney kind of film. I like Happy Feet but thats about it in cartoons.
I have seen DE Ja vu though

Hell no, it sucked.
Merged (lost poll results from one thread, though).
Bought it the first day it came out on Blu-Ray.
Disappointed there's no special features though. Looks good sitting next to Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Inglourious Basterds on my shelf though

Oh I know. Was just putting it up to show it wasn't a term made just for the movie and that its seen widespread use in the pastunnamednewbie13 wrote:
So maybe whoever discovered the stuff in this universe was a sci-fi fanatic. Or maybe it's an inside joke. Or maybe it doesn't matter if they called it deposites of unobtanium or waltekronkite crystals. The stuff didn't even play as pivotal a role in the movie (despite it being what we were after) as Omega 13 did in Galaxy Quest.M.O.A.B wrote:

I'm still amazed that people can't look past that and see all the technical brilliance in this film. Or maybe they'd be happier if Cameron had his writers make up some goofy name like midi-chlorian.

Watched it in BluRay last night and the visuals still blow my mind. Its one of the few films I've found myself really immersed in, 3D or not
Managed to get the Collector's Edition for half the price it's going at now. Came in shiny steelbook and also had a book with it which describes all the stuff in the movie (the moon, vehicles, weapons etc) in greater detailPoseidon wrote:

I was at an electronics stores yesterday. They had like 5 or 6 TV screens running the Avatar menu. One of them was in blue-ray, but I didn't see the difference between normal high definition and blue-ray, so I'm going to get Avatar on a standard DVD when I get to the states.
And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us.
Between normal high definition and blu-ray? Don't you mean SD versus HD? If they looked the same, they were probably feeding Coax or SD only.-Sh1fty- wrote:

In any case, I'm waiting for the extended version. Same with LOTR. Waiting for the extended Blu-Ray version.
Electronic's shops aren't always the best for showing off the quality of pictures. Sometimes £1000+ TV's look like they have crap images or colours. Depends on how they've set them up.-Sh1fty- wrote:

probably not, maybe someday, im not really a videophile
There's a collector's edition? Meh, I'll rebuy it when I have a 3dtv...like in 2012.M.O.A.B wrote:

Gotta go to ones with darkened theater rooms to see the difference, like Best Buy or Video Only.Ilocano wrote:

movie looks awsome, thought my tv was gunna melt. DTS-HD is sexing for my ears.
Its a generic expression, like rocking horse shit or skyhooks.Cheez wrote:
