Saying "happy mother's day" seems pretty silly.

(I'm sure I said those exact words last time it was mother's day)

Though I suppose it depends how you look at it: A celebration of motherhood (quote: Wiki) or a day to remind your mother that you love her, that you're thankful and etc. "Happy mother's day" doesn't work for the latter.
