Haven't played any of the AC games, but will eventually get around to #2 and probably this one.
I'm curious about the multiplayer. I've always been a fan of stealth games, and when they announced MGS was going to have multiplayer I nearly shit my pants. But then when I actually played it... god-awful.

This 100% synchronization is going to be a bitch. For the first shrine (parkour-esque puzzle similar to the tombs in ACII), they want you to do it in 8 minutes? Really?
And that's only going to happen if you don't collect the 2 (or 3) Borgia flags from within.

Assasin's Creed sucks.
I hope to actually buy this one. The first game was fun, even with it being repetitive and having flaws, but the second was quite excellent.

been having the biggest trouble with them ..... several nights in a row ubis server were working then go down for about a 30 mins then back up then down again

Yeah, it is. It is a really good experience. I would say that it is a lot slower-paced than other games, but even getting rank 50 only took me 25hours of gameplay, which is less than I spent on SP. The trick is to be slow, patient, and literally assasinate: not go running around. This way, you can earn anything between 3-5 times the points per killPoseidon wrote:

My main criticism of MP, like many games, is the unlock system. At the start, rank 1, you have no abilities so you can hide and blend into crowds all you like, tempting your pursuer to kill the innocent AI civvie stood next to you (and give you points in the process for deceiving them). Its really good fun.
As you unlock abilities, you can use eagle vision to spot you target even if they are in a crowd of 10 look-a-likes. You also get abilities that give more points for kills, such as slow-poison which gives 300 per kill, rather than 100 using the blade (excluding bonuses such as hidden and incognito, etc). There are lots of others too, and it just upsets it a little too much IMO.
Generally, the matchmaking pairs you up with similar ranks so the imbalance isn't that great, but you lose some of the fun deceitful gameplay you get at the start.
