I really, really, really think I would operate better with the nap in the middle of the day. I am worried however that switching to something with even one nap in the middle would fuck up my sleep schedule for a job even more than normal sleep at odd hours.
i've heard of that uberman sleep phase, apparently it's hellish trying to get into that sleeping style

I think Da Vinci or one of those Renaissance guys tried it and failed miserably.
I did the biphasic for about a year. The mid-day nap was quite refreshing.
I love having a nap in the middle of the day, but I always regret it afterwards because it makes you feel like a total wreck. Let alone the time wasted.

I have started to have a "power nap" at the weekends if I dont have much to do. Will usually sit watching a DVD then drift off for 20-30mins.Metal-Eater-GR wrote:

Also fuck Uberman and Dymaxion, they look hardcore. I'm monophasic through and through, can't stand naps. Usually takes off 2-3 hours and leaves me feeling absolutely terrible.

well i've gone to sleep for 3 hours or so, woken up and worked on an essay for an hour, then gone back to sleep for another 3 hours. that doesn't really fit any one of those patterns though...

I sleep when I'm tired, stay awake when I'm not. Last night I was awake most of the night. The night before I got 8 hours sleep. Night before that, again, up most of the night and shit.
