I always slow down enough into turns. A small slowdown doesn't hurt but a 100->30 would result a nee-naa car to come collecting me. Back in the day in 2003 when I got the bike license I had my first driving lesson on a parking lot. Was training stops, slalom, you know the basic handling. But the lot was a swimming pool since it just stopped raining and there was leaves all over the place. So at one point with the 40km/h -> 0 in 9m training the instructor told me to use more front brake since I was a bit weary of using it. So the last time he told me to give it a bigger squeeze and yours truly did what was told. Good thing my leg wasn't completely under the bike when it fell on the right side.DBBrinson1 wrote:

Ouch... Yea. Breaking should be 80% front 20% rear EXCEPT for when you are turning (aren't supposed to uses breaks at all). However, tapping your rear break during a turn (far from ideal) is much better than getting on your front breaks.Ultrafunkula wrote:
