I have a pair of 200.00 oakleys. had em a year now and they are in pristine shape. I will never buy another pair of cheap glasses again.Ryan wrote:
Holy fucking shit, that's like $170 for sunglasses!PrivateVendetta wrote:
Anyone know anything about sunglasses and what colour go with what complexions?
I want some decent Ray-Ban aviators, but don't want to look like a tit by buying ones that don't suit very well.
I'm fair skinned, blonde and as far as I know with a 'warm' complexion..
They can NOT be polarised.
Something like this?

My sunglasses always get scratched or broken, so I don't wear them anymore. No way I'd spend more than $20 on sunglasses.
they probably always get scratched and broken because they're no more than $20.
the ray-bans i have bought in the past are all still fine now

The Oakleys I got in 8th grade are still in pretty great condition. One small scratch on a lens that isn't noticeable unless I look for it.
The prescription on the other hand is very out of date. I haven't bothered to get new ones because prescription polarized lenses are so damn expensive. Can't wait till I can get LASIK.

My ex bought me a pair like the bottom ones for my bday a couple years ago, with the mirror-like finish.pace51 wrote:

They're awesome, but I guess at ~$280 you'd want them to be.
I must say I'm generally not an advocate of spending a lot on fashion but I'd say sunglasses are definitely one of those things where the quality increases dramatically when they're between $100-200.

I've got a good pair of Oakleys for everyday, a less good set of Oakleys for sport, and a cheap set of wayfarers for when I feel like being stupid

Fuck if I'm paying more than ten bucks for a pair of sunglasses. They'll just get sat on, stepped on or driven over.

Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.
With aviators, mirror-lense or nothing. The reflective aviators are the aviators to get imo. In any case, nice choice.
I've been thinking about getting a decent pair of Oakleys, maybe Gascans... but I have no job and I'm not really in a rush to get them so I'd rather have the ~$100-170 right now.

I reckon get the Sideways...the Gascans just remind me of T-PainKuSTaV wrote:

I reckon the sleek look of the Gascans is pretty cool. A friend has a pair that look like the Sideways but is a Prada brand or something, and look pretty big/bulky.
PS if you look at my facebook pic, those sunnies are said friends old Gascans, which broke that night in a dancepit type thing. Dunno why I wore them at 7pm at night...
Spoiler (highlight to read):
thats right, it was because i'm . I also know that you automatically knew what this spoiler was going to say because the smiley shows up anyway

Then I'd recommend not putting them in driveways, staircases, or the chairs on a bus.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

God, it can't be that hard to take care of a pair of glasses, surely?
