Replacement PSU

My friend's power supply just died, and he wants to buy a new one.

His budget is around $100. As far as specs go, I don't know much, other than that he has a 4870 and some cheap C2D, I think an e6400 or something.

Suggestions?

Antec psu are very reliable... bought a cheap lesser known psu a couple of years ago and had a bunch of random problems.
I have a 650 watt antec now and it's great.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. True but it never hurts to buy more ( to an extent) than you need for some upgrade room, especially if it's in the budget.
