The L96A1 is the British Army designation of the standard AWC PM. The L96A1 won a British Army competition by a slight margin over the Parker-Hale M85 to become the standard sniper rifle for the British Army. The PM utilizes an aluminium frame over which is placed a high impact plastic stock. An adjustable Parker Hale Bi-Pod is fitted as standard. An uprated version, the AW, features many minor improvements, including an easier bolt action, frost proof mechanism, muzzle brake and a 10x42 hensoldt telescopic sight. The L96A1 is capable of sub MOA with military ammo, and gets to about half of that with good match grade ammo. The AW is imported to the US by Accuracy International, and is for sale to the public.

It is a 7.62 NATO bullet. Hopefully they will put the 12 round magazine in-game.
i think a 12 round mag would be over doing it, 7 at most, more likley 5.

but, a 308 should have jsut as much overkill on an unarmored target as the 50 they should bot kill in one hit, but if the m95 leaves you with 2 the l96 should give you atleast 4 for balance purposes.

I very much doubt this is true. If anything becomes 1 shot kill i'll be the m95.... not the L96.

The l96 isn't issued with 10 or 12 round mags. At least not in the british army. I'm sure they exist, but your source isn't accurate. 5 round box mags is all our boys get. Anything longer is gonna stick into the floor when you're prone anyway.

Well i like it cuz its realistic and when u bunnys out there r jumping cuz i didnt shoot ur head off with my first round its kinda hard to kill u and pistols r for noobs so i like the new improvements go EA!

All sniper rifles need are increased accuracy stats, not one-shot chest kills.

Another retarded change going into the patch. They are going to make it more and more noob friendly with every patch until they kill it off like what happened with CS it seems.

You've also missed every article where they've said they have (very vaguely) "improved" the rifles.  Even the changelog is a vague:

* All Sniper rifles have been adjusted

Not accuracy, not damage, just "adjusted".

It follows the same rules for all other unlocks. It is not better than the other rifles, it is just different. As far as how it stacks up, it is on par with the M24.

These snipers, well most american british and so on, are made to kill one shot.  With ammo made just to be more accurate and go straight through any vest. It's pointless to make anything less in the game. EA should try to make this a little more accurate to real life.

BEFORE WE JUDGE... lets wait for the patch, cuz who knows, it could be a chest shot and im sure they were keeping balance in mind, so it will probably be a crappy scope or not as accurate or something.

the m95 should be 1 shot kill anywhere...that thing would blow your body off your legs...
the new gun should be like the m95 is now
the m24 should give 3/5 damage, not the same as m95.

-each round lasts for days, where not much happens, while we wait for orders from command staff.

snipers suck anyway their kill per minute usually is really low

I didn't miss that part at all.  They increased the sniper rifle damage across the board.  That's why they say it is on par with the M24, because they both now do the same amount of damage.

Feel free to call me a liar tomorrow, after the patch is out, okay?

EDIT: People!  This does not mean one hit kills!  It means CHEST SHOTS are one hit kills!

I hope they arn't that fucking stupid to put any one hit kill weapon in the game. They really are stupid if this is the case.

And I agree with oberst_enzian. If you can't get kills with a Sniper rifle, it's because you suck, not because the weapon is no good.

hmm... i could have sword that SRAW, ERYX, Gp-30, M203, and F2000 gl were all one hit kills.

My suggestion...  anything but a "limb" by the M95 barret, possibly the other guns should be a one hit kill...On the other hand, the M95 barret being a .50 calibebr weapon should only be able to be effectively shot while prone. The sniper should take damage if shot while standing up due to the knockback.

wait till you see the snipers pistol...

its not even funny how fast the pistol kills people now, if you dont hit them with the sniper bullet, the pistol will take you out in 2 hits anywhere from full health, and you can shoot it extremely fast depending on your finger clicking abilities. accuracy and realism is way more tougher now. a person with a good pistol shot will put an average player on their knees even if they are using the AK 101 now. Its that serious folks. you will begin to see some serious rants here shortly.

*EDIT* i was on an EA US server 16/16 and on both sides, the whole team were snipers on the offensive with their pistols... was a joke FUCK

The L96 is an awesome gun but after being hit more than 20 time swith it I can say that it's not 1 hit kill, although I assume you will get lucky a few times since you can 1 hit with the Ak-101 and other rifles if you're lucky.

And yes, I was taked out with a snipers pistol with having at least half health.
