i remembered to install it on my home PC.

https://img59.imageshack.us/img59/6015/thanksscreensv5.gif

we have a license for Google Earth Pro at work, and it essentially the same, except for that last bit of resolution, and it's printing capability.

i bring this up because we once had a thread, http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=87746 , for it in the bf2s.com section.
i remember seeing all the 'Street View' captures in the Respond by picture thread.

https://img14.imageshack.us/img14/2415/fail2jc.jpg

i've found it is eminently useful, and simply awesome when creating an itinerary for a trip.

do you use Google Earth? have you seen any candid shots from 'Street View'?

You realize that as time goes forward you'll be able to go back in time to see what an area looked like (i.e. in 2019 you'll be able to go back to 2009 so see what a place looked like)...it'll be kewl.

the current view of my house doesn't show the awning we put on the back patio.
it's like going back in time to last March

those bastards!

i used to have, when street view went in Ireland, a capture of some kids sitting on a fence and flipping off the camera.

i like pinning locations and being able to tell raw distance. i also like being able to toggle the different types of attractions - tonight i was looking at National Parks.

I call bullshit, there's no questionable activity. Satellite was hacked so we the people don't know what our government was doing there.

I do now too.  First thing I've cracked by Google since everything they make is free.

I love Google Earth/Maps. I tend to use it most to figure out what a place looks like before hand so when I'm there I know exactly what building/place to head to. Example; I'm currently applying for internships, and so by throwing their address in Google, I can see the exact location of their offices, and know what the building looks like that I'm going to, and know where the entrance is etc, so that I don't wander around like a douchebag for hours wondering which building it is.
