I currently have 2GB (2 x 1GB) sitting in my computer and purchased 4GB more (2 x 2GB). They are the same speed, but different manufacturer than the ones being replaced. Would I run into any issues if I threw all four sticks in my computer or is that a bad idea?

Same speed same type (DDR2)

no probs.

Even if one set is higher speed it will still run, only at the speed of the slower dimms

nope you shouldn't run into any problems at all. (assuming you're on 64bit because anything above 4GB is practically useless on 32bit)

Thanks for the answers. It's 32 bit XP so I won't even get the full 4GB when I install it. I asked in case one of the new sticks is bad tbh
