Also I just went through my Dad's books in his garage before he sells them all, I shit you not there's like half a ton of books. It took me an hour to go through half of them, just looking at the covers and reading the occasional synopsis.

The new mods were selected more or less like this: As the need for new mods was taken up in the mod forums (the need for new mods = not many moderators on the list are active any longer), we started talking about different members that have the necessary qualifications for the task, E.g. the ability to remain calm and neutral when needed. The new mods were selected from different timezones from different "sections" so that they together could moderate the whole broad spectrum of sections that we have here, 24h a day. E.g. one can be a East-US-mod that frequents DAST and Gaming and another can be a European mod who usually posts and hangs out in EE. Once we had talked about several candidates and their "history" checked thoroughly, a group was selected and contacted.
At no point did anybody ask/beg to be a moderator.
If you think that the above is "shit-fuck" as you put it, you always have the option of not coming here. Never forget that.
