Can't go wrong with The Wire, blitzed watching all the series in a few weeks, not very often I do that with a tv series. Only other I ever got into watching that much recently is Dexter.

The Wire has some incredibly slow plot development, especially in the later seasons, but it really didn't matter. Mad Men just forgets about the whole plot business entirely after a while
