I used to put 95 in my '93 Lancer. The difference per tank was around $4 and the performance benefit noticeable.

With my current '03 Lancer I've noticed a reduced benefit so I only buy 95/98 every fourth tank, to clean the engine.

Those "save 4 cents per litre" vouchers are next to worthless unless you own a 4WD and are filling it from empty.

I have a 60L tank. If I filled it at 127c, it's $76.20, 123c it's $73.80.

That's almost $160 a year. Bargain.

My car costs me ~ 8k a year to run. (Petrol / Rego / Insurance)

Rego and Insurance is about 2.5k.

The rest is petrol.

I only use 95, which is becoming harder to find. I find that the newer petrol stations have 1 pump for 95, and 98 / e10 everywhere.

I go up a fuck off hill, (which i've actually equated to cost $2.50 to simply go up) and when I used to drive a hyundai, the e10 would not cut it up there, while the 95 did.

The BMW takes it with ease obvs, and i've never put e10 into it so i can't compare.

Then the 10c/l and 20c/l vouchers are better obviously, best of all when you get them from beer purchases.

Including the 10c on the empties its pretty close to perpetual motion.
