So I have this dude who needs help with his graphics card... he can't get it to fit in the slot.

Quite simply, my PC is crap. It gets 8 FPS for BF2, 4 FPS for SC2, and 30-40 for BF1942.

It needs to be upgraded but I don't have much money for it, I got an Nvida GeForce 8400 GS for Christmas, and I took it and my PC to best buy to have it installed, it didn't work. I have an Nvida Geforce 6100, and I need to upgrade it at least, so if anyone knows of a decent Nvida Card that will work with my PC, (a default eMachines T6532 with more ram) I would be thankful since i would be able to actuality play games. All I think i know is that it's not an integrated card and its technicly a PCIe 16x slot, and when i check the 8400 GS it's the same slot, so either Best Buy Ducked up, or the card wouldn't actuality work.


for tl:dr people, I need to know a current video card that can run current games for less than $150, the other option is no upgrade and i go insane.
his e-machines PC probably can't run crap though with a default PSU, so consider that

If that's not an option, get a 5750 or something crap like that. Not worth upgrading imo.

Last time I saw your specs Cam they werent exactly spectacular either.

This guy needs a new computer though. he prob has AGP/PCI bus and even if he does have PCIE teh PSU in an emachine isnt worth a shit.

I didnt say it wasnt.  I was going along the lines of those with glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Its not like you have a bleeding edge rig. I mean your name isnt Max or Panzer FFS.
