Did they get rid of those stupid ass injuries thing? I hated having to find injury kits, to heal myself since heal spells don't seem to fix bones or leaves you with bloody eyes.
If you progressed, you could get a Spirit Healer to have Rejuvenate which would fix all injuries except for the caster (though if you have 2 mages in your party for some reason you could get around that). Even so, I never had any shortage of Injury or even Lesser Injury kits.

The demo was rather strange IMO though. Felt quite different from Origins and the whole level up character menu seems far more needlessy cluttered that it was in DA:O.

The level-up/skills menu did seem sort of stiff. Almost console-oriented.

I'm downloading the demo on steam now.
I played DA for hours. Shame that i ripped it. I didn't really know what type of game it was and if it would be worth 50euro so i tried it. Ended up finishing the game 3 times or so.

Just finished the demo.
I love the new style. The graphics haven't improved a whole lot, but the look of the buildings, the terrain and especially the armors is great. It does feel a lot more like a console game though, a lot more action in the combat (not necessarily a bad thing) but the targeting feels a little clumsy at times, which could be a avoided by a simple targeting system as in DA. The terrain (what i saw in the demo) feels a lot less open.
I think its going to be a great game, the few downsides that i could find can all be blamed on the consolefocus.

Played it for a few hours. Not liking it as much as the first one so far.

I played the first one, stopped playing cause I was severly underleveled and dropped it.

Now playing it again, hopefully all the way through, to import my character. (Still underleveld though >.<)

You're probably going through it wrong. After Lothering when the game opens up, the proper order to go, as for the game to not be too difficult is Tower>Redcliff>Forrest/Ashes>Dwarves.

If you play it out of that order, then the game will seem to have a much less consistent difficulty.

I play these kinds of games for the story/RPG element.  And so, I just mod my characters just enough so that I can do the storyline without having to restart again and again.

Well so far I've done Redcliff and Urn of Ashes, I'm only level 10 though.
Looked at a walkthrough and the person doing it was lvl 19 >.>

Are you just mostly going through the main storyline, or also going over all the side missions?  All those side missions do add up to some leveling up.

Yeah, the game does a really dick move by telling you to go to Redcliff before the Tower, and then the Urn is actually for a much higher leveled player. You the Tower, you'll find it much easier.

Yeah I'm trying to muster the willpower to finish it at this point.

There's only so much I can take of seeing the same cave map over and over. Characters are worse. Combat is worse. RPG elements are worse. Should really have cancelled my preorder

Finished the game on sarcasm-mode...
Story is good overall, has some epic moments.
But the consolification ruins the game. And being able to walk trough almost every cave in the game while blindfolded after a while is not a good thing...

Spent 30 hours and I did almost everything, all the side-quests I could find. So it's shorter then Origins. Major cliffhanger ending

I played the demo, and it was okey. but i read so many negative comments I had to see more. So i pirated the game (to use as a larger demo). It broke after a while, but it didn't matter, because i had played for maybe 5-7 hours which was more than enough for me to get an impression. I was considering buying it, but even in that short amount of time i found 3-4 caves that were exactly the same and many other instances that had an exact copy somewhere along the way.
I didn't like how most of the gear on your companions were set and could not be changed. It really didn't feel like a 'make your own adventure', what i really loved about DA:O. I did like the whole Hawke-thing and how your character finally has some real interaction in the story, but that's about it.
The combat felt a lot less smooth than DA:O and even clumsy at times.
I'm disappointed. Hopefully DA3 (if there will be one) will go a bit more back to pc-gaming.

They've done it again. See the first 3 reviews of the game on Metacritic - clearly another farse.

I've played this game and I am on Act 3... and whilst it's clearly not a great game, it does have some good points about it. The storyline is quite good and the characters are decently developed.

Combat/Graphics/World and the rest are piss, but I'm merely playing it through to get to the ending.

I didn`t find the graphics to be as poor as people were complaining about, I certainly feel they are up to par with todays standards, though not much of an improvement over Origins.

But the thing that really irked me was when I started playing. I chose a warrior (defaults to a 2h).
Now in Origins the 2H is supposed to be the slow, hard hitting melee weapon, but Buff McDude here started swinging it around like it was made of cardboard.

The dialouge was also very dumbed down from origins, where at times you would have up to 12 different options of speech, all with their own conversation trees. In this game however, some dialouge options didn`t even change the conversation though (I tested this).

That and the game crashed more than unpatched Fallout 3 for me.
