What about Carrafix?!

Seems to be exactly the thing for me!

CarraFix is considered deprecated since much better P2P applications have emerged since
then (Bittorrent applications for example) and include an upload regulator
Dang... Do you think it will still work?

As has been pointed out, by far the best way of doing this is with ipfw.

There's nothing in the OSX GUI that would allow you to do that. You could write an Applescript - but fuck that, ipfw is a much better solution.

May be 3rd party SW that does the job too.

Granted, ipfw seems like powerful tool but come on... Is my problem really that unique? I know that QoS is usually handled by the router but I was pretty certain that more users than me were having this issue with similar programs.

But I get your point, might just have to take the leap.
