It's forcing the unnessecary, you would only actually need an additive once you're at your natural limit. Next to that you'll have your muscle mass increase out of proportion in speed compared to the rest of your body.

Personally, because I don't like many protein rich foods such as eggs. The foods rich in protein I do like are too expensive, ie fish. They're just a supplement though for most and id say anyone who wants to see real success working out needs to seriously consider using shakes and other supplements.
Figures, I get around eating alot of protein rich foods. I don't really like fish that much though but I eat it atleast once a week.

If you work out you increase far more things than just your muscle mass. Bones, tendons and such - they have to build up in toughness aswell.

the out of proportion bit only really applies if you overdose on protein. You'll have alot of muscle but you won't actually be able to use it at the most efficient level.

I suppose the increased growth rate makes them somewhat bulkier and less compressed aswell, I'm not really sure on this one though. Base it out of the fact that the ex/current army dudes I've seen in the gym look less "strong" than the bodybuilders but are capable of lifting more than them.

I think if you stick within the recommended dosages of reputable brands you can't go far wrong. To do damage to your kidneys via intaking too muuch protein you'd have to be going overboard regularly.

I find it weird that people can plan when they need the toilet.. I eat and drink pretty regularly but my peeing/pooing schedule is just "whenever I need to go".

I do that at nights so I don't wake up early and need a piss. I generally go about 90 mins before bed, then again right before I go to bed. Its probably an ocd thing but it works, maximise your sleep yo
