Personally, because I don't like many protein rich foods such as eggs. The foods rich in protein I do like are too expensive, ie fish. They're just a supplement though for most and id say anyone who wants to see real success working out needs to seriously consider using shakes and other supplements.dayarath wrote:

I think if you stick within the recommended dosages of reputable brands you can't go far wrong. To do damage to your kidneys via intaking too muuch protein you'd have to be going overboard regularly.
