It's just sad when they get shot down and they can't bail out.

War sucks.  Its not all flowers and unicorns.

You either go to war to win or you don't go to war at all.

It looked to me like USNavy and AAF gun camera film taken over japan and the south pacific. not Japanese gun camera film I thought I saw zeros and Oscars getting hit.

The Japanese did too much messed up shit during World War 2 to merit any respect for their most soldiers. Executing prisoners is one thing, but ripping their balls off, choking them, cutting open their stomachs, etc. deny any honor to the men who did this.

I've heard stories of them hanging Chinese civilians by their arms and cutting open their stomachs and letting them bleed out. If stories like these are true than they're worse than the Nazis in my opinion.

Karbin, what are they saying about the war?

Mistreating POWs in anyway is disgusting.

This is an Aussie POW who obviously, seconds later, died. Look up Unit 731 if you dont know about the Jap's mistreatment of prisoners, they make Auschwitz look like a tea party.

Back on topic, it always interests me that they doccumented this type of stuff. Are you sure that its a mixture of both allied and axis forces footage? I could only see the Japanese planes getting shot down.

One of the .......  events down played in Japanese schools.
Events I've been told covered are:
Firebombings, A-bombings, the misunderstanding about the Pearl Harbour attack (was not a sneak attack, just a Diplo FUBAR).

To some extent Auschwitz was a tea party. Especially when compared to what that Unit 721 did.

Prisoners of war were subjected to vivisection without anesthesia.  Vivisections were performed on prisoners after infecting them with various diseases. Scientists performed invasive surgery on prisoners, removing organs to study the effects of disease on the human body. These were conducted while the patients were alive because it was feared that the decomposition process would affect the results. The infected and vivisected prisoners included men, women, children, and infants.

Vivisections were also performed on pregnant women, sometimes impregnated by doctors, and the fetus removed. Prisoners had limbs amputated in order to study blood loss. Those limbs that were removed were sometimes re-attached to the opposite sides of the body. Some prisoners' limbs were frozen and amputated, while others had limbs frozen then thawed to study the effects of the resultant untreated gangrene and rotting.

Some prisoners had their stomachs surgically removed and the esophagus reattached to the intestines. Parts of the brain, lungs, liver, etc. were removed from some prisoners.

for the japs is more about "honor" than anything else. They executed prisoners because surrendering should be met with suicide. it's more cultural differences than racism. yeah that pow was SAS afaik.

People expect you to read the Page, Not one post you dummies. If you have even one eye open this nipping at the heals appears awfully pitiful.

The Germans come in a poor Fourth place for crimes a against humanity. I think even Pol Pot did more damage and for what reasons, revenge ?

I said wtf

because that post listed items and didn't specify the order of progression.

I"m, not sure if you meant Chinese > USSR > Japan > Germany

or

Chinese < USSR < Japan < Germany

that's why you don't use -

oh and I think...

Japan ~ Chinese > USSR > Germany

tbh...
