so i need to download 32bit, reformat my SSD, install that, run the program, and then reformat and go back to my win7 x64

i guess you could call it my de-menstration period.
If its a new drive its possible its not "managed" yet and the 32megs are part of boot sector.

I would just use Acronis disk director which makes preview possible and you can undo changes before they go into effect.
