I'm wondering how they'd factor Bane's superhuman side into a more relasitic portrayal.
RRRRRROIDDDD RAAAAAAGE!!!!
Anne Hathaway is fucking hot. I approve.
Tom Hardy as Bane... well, it'll be interesting to see how Nolan reflects such a comic book character into a realistic environment. I trust Nolan enough with all of his previous work to be able to manage it. I didn't really think I could possibly see such a believable realistic Joker in TDK, but he made it happen. Hope they throw in some more villains. I know that they said they were filming in NOLA, so I still think Killer Croc is a major possibility.

Based on the title of the film, the real question is how many new dick jokes will be spawned.
I mean, if they're gonna have Bane in a realistic environment, I'm sure Nolan could and will fit KC in.SEREMAKER wrote:
Kroc would be cool but he doesn't fit Nolan's realistic vibe but they could spin as Batman is investigating but we actually never see kroc
Without a doubt he will do an amazing job. I'm just having trouble wrapping the vision about Tom as a ColombianPoseidon wrote:

I only watched football in 3D and thought it was pretty good.

Sounds like a porno

He should probably stick with two villains. TDK was long enough.Poseidon wrote:

And it was an entertaining story throughout. I had no problem with the length of TDK.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

I hope he makes it 4 hours, actually. Just like I hope they do with The Avengers. If Nolan's Batman is a trilogy like some say and this is the end, he should end it with one hell of a movie.
Only movie I can think of that was four hours long was Lawrence of Arabia, and that had a 15 minute intermission built in at the two hour mark because otherwise you'd probably die trying to watch it if you were in a theater for its first release.Poseidon wrote:

Four hour movies aren't a good idea. It's probably going to be 2.5-3 hours, which is as long as it needs to be but is still watchable.
Dances With Wolves was...
As was Gettysburg. Obviously I was exaggerating as there's no way it'll be 4 hours, but a 3 hour finale would be perfect. Seeing as how Batman Begins was a little over 2 hours and TDK was closer to 2 1/2, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibilities to have TDKR be 3 hrs.Winston_Churchill wrote:

And theres a limit for IMAX, which it obviously be. If I recall correctly its around the 2:45-3hr mark, Avatar used the entire thing on its 11 min extended version. So he's pretty much limited by that.

The thing is, the best part about Batman films has always been the villains. Batman himself is kind of dull and one dimentional. And since they've already used the best Villain and they're discounting the more 'supernatural' ones like Croc or Clayface or Grundy or the many other weirdos, how is the third film going to be an improvement on what's already been?
What villains have we got left that are 'realistic' The Penguin I suppose and Catwoman obviously since they're including her and The Riddler which could be done well I guess - but this doesn't remove from the fact that they all play second or even third fiddle to The Joker. I mean Catwoman was really not much more than a skilled theif who could give you a mean scratch, she's hardly leading villain material.
Of course I don't know the Batman universe well enough, maybe there's a lesser known one that's a real badass - but whoever they are they won't be as iconic as The Joker.
I'm not dismissing it I'm just saying Nolan's going to have to do really well to make this a decent film.

I personally wish that they had done more with Scarecrow and made Raz Algoul more menacing. I thought the first film tried to do too much at once.
