Apparently I have. But then again how many times have there been bullshit info on imdb before on movies some geeks are just creaming their pants with and making up things. Ridley Scott has confirmed he is making an Alien prequal and that it will be shot in 3D.
I can't possibly understand how you could have missed this. It was pretty big news. A 3D Alien movie. A 3D movie from Ridley Scott.
It has the anticipation of failure from many already for the simple fact it will be 3D. And there is suggestion it will in fact be one of two prequels to Alien.

Man I have no clue how I've missed it. I can't wait for the movie to come out! But why 3D ? Please mr. Scott don't do it. Atleast make another movie in 3D before it with the same crew so you'll know how that stuff works. I really don't want a fuckup of this one. Oh, and call H.R. Giger again.
Anyways if the movie(s?) is going to be a prequel, I wonder what kind of human characters there will be since it kinda was first contact in the original movie. Or whatever characters for that matter. One spacejockey who gets a facehugger on its face and thus the vessel crashes. Not the most entertaining movie idea Mebe the xenomorphs and spacejockey origins will be shown? As long as it won't be a Jarjar Dingdong in a Mos Eisly cantina type of cutie stuff
