It's not impossible if you're an engineer...
omg just get 13373R like me nubs!?
The best plane whores, like me learn to adapt with the patch - i mean i got 3 gold's last night, becasuse i would just pick off everyone sitting at AA implacements, sure i got shot down more than i used to but i like it, it is like playing a game through on easy then playing it again on hard - good stuff.
Helps keep noobs out of the sky.

Maybe I don't want to be an engineer in a really big freakin map. Maybe I want to be something useful like, idk, a rock. I'm a sniper FYI, medic, sniper, support are the three kits I play. I have no way of disarming these stupid little buggers without suiciding to switch kits or permanently playing as a useless kit (combat-wise).Deety wrote:

They should just remove all vechiles then lol.
Tanks cant blow up mines how unrealistic is that? You shoot a tank shell at a mine and it magicly doesnt blow up?
Then they made the AA's Super AA's so all jets and choppers are fucked (not that i care)
So looks like all we can do now is fight on foot haha.

Next thing you know it'll be infinite body armor to keep people from shooting each other. Knife fight!Berserk_Vampire wrote:

all you tank noobs. STFU. we dont care if an a t mine is to much for you. if you cant handle that then go play cs or something. i tank whore some time. its fun but if the inf has you in a corner crying then they got you. fair and square. plus. YOU HAVE A TANK. YOU HAVE A TANK. DONT COMPLAIN. your in a tank. your shooting a tank. what is the whole problem with not being invincible?
That's how BF2 should be played! ON FOOT and whoever uses vehicles should use them to the ability of uber-support or the first to go in and take a far reaching amount of damage, as a shield for the rest of the teammates to go in and get the job done. One armor unit cannot win the war alone except get alot of kills before the whole other side wises up and goes Anti-Tank on whoever is using armor the most.
I don't armor whore but occassionally I get a tank and get the job done to make way for my allies because that's what the principle of armor is for, to bring the calvary home and let the boys in, I don't go charging in their like Rambo thinking I'll take on everyone. As for the magically undestroyable mines, as an optimist I see them as a safety measure to make a person who is using armor to play smarter than to charge right in deep into enemy territory, it's to discourage them, not ruin the gameplay.

LOL YOU'RE GENIUS. Maybe those of us who aren't throwing AT mines like grass seed actually want to MOVE in those tanks too!lavadisk wrote:

Exactly! Just where I was getting at, in some manner.lavadisk wrote:

They should make some maps for BF2 that are specially for ground fighting just on foot vs foot fighting that would be fun.
Vechiles are needed to rack up points if there wasnt then it would be alot harder to rank up.

16 size city maps. Enough said.Berserk_Vampire wrote:

That's the thing. Snipers , medics, and support should not be in armor. Engineers and AT are the best Kits for armor. Engineer when there is cover to repair, otherwise, AT to help take out your armor foe. Keeping that tank repaired and out of the hands of the enemy is your secondary goal as a tanker.7h3647h32in6 wrote:

Funny thing about claymores now is that armor has to be the first at the flag to clear the claymores. Just don't have a tank gunner at the time. I've been killed once by claymore as a tunk gunner.
Not really, vehicles aren't all that's needed to rack up points unless you're horrible at aiming and firing intuition, not saying that you might, but in a couple of games recently I've just about got my points up to the 100's just on ground-fighting, just yesterday I changed my Strike at Karkand BR from 178 to 180 strictly on ground fighting.Berserk_Vampire wrote:

That's sort of a point. Being that there is no kit limits for vehicles leaves me as the sniper pretty open ended. I've found rampaging with a tank (dropping helos and armor) until the enemy has exhausted itself, then following it up with a strong sniping streak, using the tank as a roadblock is a pretty good strategy. Snipers play a critical role in base defense, frequently able to stop an oncoming attack of numerous softies. Using the tank for the heavies compliments the snipers' defensive abilities, which are now limited by the recently limited mobility of tanks.Ilocano wrote:

Sniping is my fave kit too, but it won't do much good when you're a lone tanker against a tank AND an apc.7h3647h32in6 wrote:

Why not? I've taken both, just takes some knowledge of the environment and some good strategizing. Alot is luck, but you can always position yourself to use the tank as a shield, ramming it into the apc, then blowing the apc to hell, using it's deton to damage the tank you just rammed. I've gone so far as to take a tank down with a buggy using that strategy.Ilocano wrote:

That's the beauty of the new AT mines. As a tanker engineer, you can drop them while playing musical chairs through the alleys with an enemy tank. You can go through the mines, but your foe can't.7h3647h32in6 wrote:

Hmmm... never thought about ramming and collateral damage when tank vs. tank. Gotta try it out.7h3647h32in6 wrote:

There's a good deal of a scare tactic involved as well. Frequently the enemy will jump ship when they get jammed and forced rolling backwards with a tank round hitting them every few seconds.Ilocano wrote:
