German teams would be drinking before a tourny .. I'll never forget that. They also play on clay fields over there. I remember getting tore up (strawberries) because I would still slide .. It was hard to anticipate where the ball would go when it bounced. Germans were also WAY physical. I was a forward and I'd go up to flick the ball on, and they would come in with flying elbows. They didn't call shit.
