I've tricked nod32 into constantly thinking it's the same day .. without changing the clock.

Your anti virus software has the same condition Drew Barrymore had in 50 First Dates.
so yea, if you want to switch to the new profile at fb go here: http://www.facebook.com/about/profile/

i love it... especially the new sports section
How well will it work for someone who deleted pretty much everything in the info tab? :3
I suppose I might as well. I've been pretty emo towards facebook lately, we've had a falling out. (Read: I finally realized how annoying, stupid, and pointless updating and reading status updates are)

I was afraid they were going to complicate it .. it doesn't look so.

i know people always naysay... but im not normally one of them... and i don't like the new fb layout
the way it makes all of your 'likes' appear as picture-icons is retarded. what's wrong with reading? not aesthetic enough?
also the new 'description' of yourself based off employment/education etc. is a bit 'in your face'. too overt.

I feel like previously, it was too scrambled and jumbled. Your info was all over the place. Now it's more complete.Kmar wrote:

I got disillusioned with it all when they started linking your "likes" to the corresponding fan page instead of a list of people (friends included) who also liked the same thing.
Was so awesome to click a link of my like of "x" and see people on my friends list who liked that, many surprises in store. And plus I actually liked and was active in that kind of social networking. Even had random people add me saying "we both like 'x', awesome!". Seems like it's all passive now, or at least has made me so. Just fill in the boxes and see what happens.

it looks like the images are not as compressed.. noticeable.

yeah i don't like how it tries to link every like to a wiki page with an image. most of my likes don't have images so my profile just looks retarded... and why is it not optional? i feel as though browsing someone's interests/likes now is like being condescended to and having it thrown in your face. LOOK! BIG PICTURE! ... i can read a damn list.
and i know that facebook was originally a 'harvard thing', but yeah the overt in-your-faceness of someone's 'credentials' is a bit silly. if i cared where someone graduated from, or how lingual they are, then i'd perhaps click the 'Info' tab. to have it constantly paraded underneath their name is just basically making your facebook profile some form of shitty business card / self-advertisement.
and my biggest niggle is that none of these things are optional. why not? hardly calling for profile customisation. just don't want some of it.

oh boy, the "wiki" page. I KNOW WHAT THE FUCK I'M LIKING, OK FACEBOOK! I'm not some dumbass kid overly-concerned about my appearance (wait, what am I doing on facebook then) who heard some hip new term and then decided to throw it on the profile in order to look cool; maybe next month when i clean out my profile to add more cool things, the thought "what is that and why did i add it?" will cross my mind and then i'll click it and finally find out what it is.

.. and usually when they do provide optional things it's an automatic opt in, forcing you to figure out how to opt out. This is especially sucky when it comes to privacy. The default opt-in policy is shit.

they now combined tagged videos and photos of you... not sure if i like that or not
i choose to have my tagged photos hidden, because photo-whore behaviour at parties and then the morning after on facebook is such a boring, lame routine... something you really get sick of when partying hardcore a year. SMILE! teehee we'll all rush home and tag ourselves in the morning! no.
but im wondering what photos it'll show in the little main-page photo preview? just my old profile pics? ok.

When asking a FB developer about privacy and it's default opt-in policy, he replied, "You opted in when you joined facebook".

not surprising, tbh. that's always been their logic and their attitude. they're too popular to care about individualsKmar wrote:
