Not sure I'd use them, but I will check out those apps. The whole reason I use Chrome, though, is that it's so minimal and lightweight. I don't need any extras really.
Better speed and security sound great. But I don't think I'll have much use for the apps.
<3 chrome, it's simple but effective

I suppose I'll have to make that decision when the store opens.

It's a lot quicker than before... I'll be using Chrome instead of Firefox.
I run chrome on my laptop cause it's lighter on resources, and I use opera on my desktop.
for a fatty you're a serious intellectual lightweight.

Hopefully this won't crash much. I wanna go back to Chrome.

For anyone who may have ran into the same problem I had after an upgrade. If Facebook isn't showing your live feed, clear your cache. Once done, back to normal. It also affected the live feed here at bf2s.com .

10 Chrome Web Apps to Check Out
http://mashable.com/2010/12/07/chrome-w … gle+Reader

The Google Chrome Web Store has only been open for a few hours, and already hundreds of apps are available to use.
To be fair, not every app offers a new experience; some are merely bookmarks to existing web apps. There are already a number of apps, however, that really push the boundaries of what we expect from a web app, offering new, optimized experiences and tight browser integration.
The great thing about web apps is that you don’t necessarily have to use Google Chrome to get to benefit from these great interfaces. Some of the apps do use Chrome-specific optimizations, but most will work identically in Safari or Firefox 4 beta.

Meh. Apps are not for me, I guess. Looked through the list and didn't find anything I'd use.

Anyone know how to change the colour of the scroll bar? It's almost entirely white and the bit that moves is indistinguishable from the background.

EE (hats
Same OS, but I get the occasional crash on Chrome. Usually I might have a time period where it crashes constantly for a max of an hour and then it repairs itself after sending lots of crash reports. No idea why but that has only happened I think 3 times in the past 4 months.Kmar wrote:

Yet to have a single crash
Switched to chrome like two weeks ago.
Firefox just seemed sluggish.
Sure, nice skin options, but chrome's minimalistic design is nice tbh, browsing is nearly seamless

I went to the latest Beta today, which I assumed was this, and I'm still getting crashes
It's not fair..!

Try reformatting? That worked for me
Seriously though, I tried using Chrome long ago and it'd crash a lot. Some time later I reformatted and decided to try Chrome out again and it worked (and has been working) perfectly. I can't go back to FF.

The only problem I have ever had was fixed by simply clearing the cache.
I'm going to try this.

I use tweetdeck as a separate app.. will see if it's worth it.
.. verdict. Not worth it.
Yes it was that easy. There is nothing compelling about it. I'll continue to use the dedicated app.

I've also changed the majority of components in my PC.
Hard drives are the only thing that's stayed the same.
It also sounds like you've had 3 different version of chrome. When troubleshooting you need to have at least one constant.FFLink wrote:
