My computer setup is:
Intel Pentium D 830
2 GB RAM
Dell 0YC523 Motherboard
Windows XP

My graphics card died a few weeks ago and my dad came home with a Radeon HD 4350 1 GB graphics card. (Which I am thankful for). However I am wondering judging by my current set-up if this graphics card will allow me to edit videos, and play games such as TF2, Left 4 Dead, Battlefield, COD4 etc, with a descent frame rate. I was thinking of maybe returning this graphics card and spending a little more (I am pretty much flat out broke so I can't buy nothing to fancy) to get a slightly better one.

So should I return it or keep it?

Thanks in advanced.

PS. I am quite computer illiterate.

There's no way that that will play any of those on anything but the lowest settings, what's your budget??
I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.

So it'll probably run adequately?

Also my budget isn't high. The graphics card my dad bought was around $80 he said. I only have like $20-$25. So yeah can't be much more than $100.

Radeon HD 4350 1 GB graphics card for $80?!?

That is some major bullshit right there, the card is worth like third of that price.

Oh. Alright maybe my dad wasn't quite accurate when he said it was $80. Or maybe he simply got ripped off.
Either way if it'll run what I want it to with no problems, I'll be a happy camper.

those games will run ok on the lowest graphics... It isn't a brilliant card.
either a 5670 or gts250 are right at the top end of that budget, probably best getting one of them?

I'm sure when you get smoke or particles on the screen that framerate will descend I apologise, I had to.

A brick and mortar deal for hardware like that is almost always a rip off. It never ceases to amaze me what things like this go for at places like Fred Meyer, Best Buy and Office Depot. You should always check prices online before committing.

A scan on newegg for video cards within the USD$80-$100 range brought up these results:

Don't blame your dad, though. Your allowance, your research.
