Reinstall. There's not much else we can say. Make sure windows is update, update your video card drivers, and then reinstall bf2. If all else fails, you'll have to go outside or something crazy. (Like call EA tech support, bleh)

exactly!

Now I have reinstalled bf2 and i have the same problems too.  I think it is a problem from the grafikcart.

I use ATI RADEON 9250 128 MB. but i bought for 5 min the ATI AIW X800 256 MB. I hope with the new cart it will work.

my brother use the AIW x800 and he have now f§%kin problems.

I have Graphics Card ATI Radeon 9200, it seems those problems are associated withATI graphics cards at least series 9000 and 9200 and 8500 or something.

So I am waiting for my new graphics card X1600pro, still ATI

go to the ea battlefield forums.. you / WE are not alone.. several hundred if not thousands are in the same boat..

this sucks on so many levels.. send ea emails. i am going to compile a list of company exec's email address's and flood them with emails about this crap.

well, as far as I remember, EA has already more than once changed the hardware requirements for BF2 with a new patch. It might just be that some graphics cards are no longer sufficient. Just a guess, of course.

as suggested above, you should check out the official EA BF forums, and maybe also have a look at the complete changelog of the latest patch.

man ...... off with ur stupid coloring book is for 3 year old.  if u have zilch to say  try the preview tab before posting...this forum is filled with   NoNo,s like you.    clear off  or buzz out.

the implementation of his new no-house maps is

helping peeps who suffer fr rate loss and lag;  Remedy;  No Buildings. and flora and fauna.

its easier on tha framerates.

btw just needed to instal the incremental  for me... runs brilliant
and my own ranked SF server run for a whole day finnaly full with low pingers,  all day with no crash  cool
that patch must have done something good.
btw for peeps with trouble;  most of u either dont read the install order or just to lazy...

my ranked server max ping = now set to 80.  and trying to set it even lower.

so players who notice they have a high ping in a game:>  find 1 in ur own neighbourhood ..
and stop ignoring high ping warnings when u entert a server,
just leave cuss your hitting hard on the fr rate and game for others in that peticular server.

ding dong> end of message.

seems to me EA/dice doesnt Like Ati Radeon users havent seen Geforce users complainging about this....

but then again....if EA/Dice isnt going to fix this and indeed increasing the System Req then i call this game a big Rip off against the clients. because whats is behind the Box(system requirements also shown in the BF2 manual book) of the game thats how you bought it normally a publisher/game creator may not change the system requirements. because we all know not everyone can buy up to date parts.

Ive got exactly the same problem. No buildings etc. Im running it on a radeon 9200 as well.

How annoying that we all pay our money and then get ripped off.

So, for those following along the total cost of BF2 so far is:
$50 For the base game
$30 For the SF mod to get the good guns for the base game
$149 For the power supply to drive the new video card
$210 For the video card to see the damn game.
$10 For the Europe theater mod (if the card and PS work)
____________
$449

The video card + supply upgrade will help with future games, you can't just blame BF2 for that. If your old card couldn't handle BF2, how is it gonna handle any of the new games coming out.

Mex, I use to use an MX440 which worked fine for HL2, BF_1942, Desert Combat.

Then the Rat Bastards (EA Games) said that the old tried and true MX series was a NO-GO.
So I follow their suggestion of MINIMUM VIDEO CARD SPEC, and get a Radeon 9000 which has worked with BF2 and SF  up to patch 1.12, and now the Rat Bastards go and screw all of us 9000, 9200, 9500 users.

I truly enjoy buying equipment over and over and ........ my only solace is that I am expensing the PS and card for business use. So I'll get the money returned at the end of the year. If I would not be able to write it off like this, BF2 would be over for me.

Hopefully the 6800GS and 500W supply will last me another year or so.
