Eh, no album I picked up in 2010 really deserves to be called best anything. Cairo Knife Fight's debut EP was pretty good, definitely potential there.

i mean jesus caribou, beach house and wild nothing for album of the year?

where did you get such an amazing taste in music from?

oh sorry i forgot some dropout-faggots at pitchfork just intravenously dripped it into you, tryhard fucking faggots

what a shit, shit thread
Honestly, Uzique, read what I actually wrote.

I said, "some of my favourite albums of 2010 are.." - ie the one's I've enjoyed the most. I even pointed out, quite clearly, that I don't have the grounds to call them "albums of the year", but that they are the one's I've enjoyed the most.

Fair point on James Blake's not being albums.

And as for you thinking I'm a "try-hard hipster" - lol, not really. I rarely ever play my music to others, as I don't feel a need to. Nor do I post my favourite songs in my Facebook statuses. It's really only on BF2s (and I guess last.fm, automatically) that I share what I listen to.

And I never post about other's taste being 'wrong', or that their music taste somehow fits them into some social clique. Which is what you do all the time, and to be honest it's getting annoying. I don't care how much you differ from Pitchfork, I don't care if you've written reviews - it may make me more interested in your opinion, I guess, but it doesn't mean you can run off and defy me as a person. If you actually met me irl, you'd find out quickly that I'm not a 'hipster' or a guy who hangs with the 'hip croud'.

Feel free to comment on other's favourite albums, or even post yours, but honestly this whole "you're a pitchfork sheep" charade is getting old and boring. I'm not trying hard to do anything - I listen to what I enjoy. Be it a recommendation off BF2s, a friend, last.fm or, dare I say, Pitchfork and other blogs/web-sites. To be perfectly honest, you're the one trying your hardest - to build your image as a "true music lover" and distance yourself from Pitchfork as much as possible.

Don't get me wrong - I enjoy all your music posts even though I'm not a huge fan of the actual music, and I give it a listen every single time. Just lay off the bitching and moaning at what others listen to, please.

Ladykiller by Cee Lo Green
Exilarch by Conjure One
Rock Dust Light Star by Jamiroquai
Plastic Beach by Gorillaz

This year has been pretty slim as far as really good albums go, but Ladykiller definitely tops my list.

Emancipator's new album was nowhere near as good as their 2006 album. I wouldn't put it up there.

HIS new album was 10x better than Soon It Will Be Cold Enough.  IMO anywho.  Safe in the Steep Cliffs was waaay more refined, much cleaner sound, better all around production

That's why I didn't like it as much. It was too clean and too refined. I liked Soon It Will Be Cold Enough because it was him experimenting more. I mean, Good Knight is just fucking epic.
