Socialism = bad
Capitalism = good
That's the simple fact and countries that use the latter are in better economic shape and their citizens are more productive.
We need Obama out of office, we need somebody who embraces free enterprise, individual liberty, and low taxes to step-up and take over.
I don't care what bullshit you guys feed me, that's the simple truth.
This almost takes the prize as the most shallow political reasoning I've ever heard. Sh1fty you could have a career as a poltician.
"Socialism = bad
Capitalism = good"First off, you can't label political ideologies as either "good" or "bad", (or you can but if you do you will always be wrong no matter what side you bat for.) I shouldn't have to go into why and since you are unwilling to be fed "bullshit", (which in your case are also known as "facts",) I'll simply say that if you ever completely discount an ideology you have no place in a political discussion. I understand where you're coming from, the US has a very very black and white political system which has only become moreso as different sides pander to their respective audiences. I would hope that if you have an interst in politics you wouldn't just accept whatever bullshit you're fed, (especially since you said you have an aversion to it right?)
"That's the simple fact and countries that use the latter are in better economic shape and their citizens are more productive."This comment is flawed in numerous ways - first off probably the only country that
doesn't use capitalism is North Korea. It's not a matter of "we are a capitalist society" or "we are a socialist society". Countries the world over have a combination of both capitalist and socialist policies. Fact is capitalism works best for some things while socialism works best for others, which works best for what is generally determined by the needs of society. Take Norway for example, the leader of the UNDP Human Development Index for eight of the past ten years. It is described as a "capitalist welfare state featuring a combination of free market activity and large state ownership in certain key sectors".
So... yeah.
"We need Obama out of office, we need somebody who embraces free enterprise, individual liberty, and low taxes to step-up and take over."Obama does embrace free enterprise, as much as any other American I'm sure. As to "individual liberty", and forgive me if I'm mistaken it was a while since I read this but I think it was Kant who talked about the realites of freedom noting that if one did not have the means then one could not be truly free. Take a CEO of a large company. He has the means to be free, his paycheck and bonuses can get him pretty much anything he could possibly want. Not so can a minimum wage worker who, after rent, bills and food might have about $50 to play with. Not a lot of freedom he can buy for $50. I'm not going to go into the details of this, this is a very very brief overview of a considerably complex topic but do you get my point? There's a lot more to freedom and liberty than just "Government being absent from affairs".
