OK, I downloaded the patch from places stated in this topic:

http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?pid=187657

I chose "Incremental Patch 1.12 - 1.2 Download @ skorchedearth.com" as I already have 1.12 installed.

Now it crashed half-way through. As usual. It always fuckin does, and yet there are no topics anywhere about problems with it failing to patch.

So I went to try again and it says I need 1.12 installed. I ALREADY FUCKIN DID TILL NEW PATCH FUCKED IT UP!

So looks liek a reinstall. Fucking thing.

Even if I do reinstall, What do I do about SF? Can I download the "Complete Patch (1.2) (357MB)
" and then install SF? I mean WTF do I do here? There is no help whatsoever anywhere.

How lame tbh.

having the exact same problem.  Please help.  It says 1.1.2 when I start bf2, then I patch it.  Start bf2 again and it still says 1.1.2.  Please help us.

Did you remove or rename the intro movie files? I reverted them to the initial state, then activated bf2 1.2 under the community tab. Worked for me.

Ouch...that sucks.  I hope neither of you have to reinstall since that takes so long.  Have either of you tried installing the full-sized patch?  It would suck, but would be better than reinstalling from scratch if it worked.  You'll then have the single big patch you can use in the event (now or later) that you do have to reinstall.

laright, got an update for yall.  I reinstalled everything and used the full patch.  Still says I have 1.1.2 in bf2.  And if I try to install just 1.2 it says 1.1.2 isn't there.  Now what.  EA isn't on my friendly list right now.  Any suggestions?

When it says 1.1.2 it does mean 1.2 as I installed it yesterday and it said 1.1.2 and i thought it was wrong then I tried a game online and when I played it included everything the patch said it should include. A lot of people don't even try a game when it says 1.1.2 ....pretty sure the old one said 1.12.

sweet, so the old one said 1.12 and not 1.1.2.  But when I start bf2 I get no gun unlock, or is that only if you are due one?  thanks

My install works fine. What i did:
Install BF2.
Install SF.
Install 1.2 Full.

No problems here, though it does read 1.1.2.

mine must be fine then, I didn't play the game because I was so pissed off that it read 1.1.2 that I thought it was still on the old patch.  Thanks for all the help and replies even though I did not start the thread.  See you guys on the battlefield.
