Best MP3 player/headphones?

Just wanted to know some people's opinions on their favorite MP3 player. Being stuck with my 32GB iPhone 4 for the next almost 1 and a half years and already running out of space, I'd like to get a large MP3 player for my Birthday in a few months. Just wanted to know what people's favorite MP3 players are and if they'd recommend any specifically. I'd rather not go Apple, though. Was thinking maybe a Zune as I've heard good things about them. No idea where to look for headphones.

Budget will be $300 for both.

I wouldn't be absolutely opposed to it (especially since it'd be nice not having to switch media players constantly and I do have a MacBook Pro). Just though I'd see if there are any other options out there.

Really, if all you want is raw storage space, the iPod Classic is the only way to go. Now there are some other MP3 players out there that can do quite a bit and you can customize firmware and all that other jazz...

I've got an iPod Classic and the battery life is simply phenomenal. I charge it maybe once a month (if that) and I use it an hour a day, most days out of the week.

A pair of seinheiser headphones are you're good to go. You could prob pick these up for $150

Okay, iPod Classic it is. Seems like it'd be the easiest to go to. That's good too because it'll allow me to move all my movies to my iPhone.

I was looking more for earbuds. I'm not walking down the streets of Manhattan or sitting on a train with bulky headphones. I'd use headphones that big for home computer usage.
