Those low-angle ones allways make me question the laws of physics
Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me
How many meters can they glide per meter they drop in altitude?
You can't "pull up" with those things and even slightly go upwards even for a second with those right?

I'd die doing that.
I would be all hyped and be grazing the sides of mountains screaming "FK YEAH" then I'd reach the button and be like OH SHIT there's parachutes. I keep forgetting that's how you stop

gust of wind..
Beautiful to look at, not sure if I'd be able to cope with the knowledge that a single gust of wind might turn me into a pancake on the mountainside.

everything i write is a ramble and should not be taken seriously.... seriously. ♥
Wiki says 2 feet forward for every foot down
I checked out some sites where they sell the suits. 3.3 meter glide per meter dropped is the best it gets, but that suit is $1500.

I've seen plenty of videos of them getting close to to cliff walls, but when they skim the ground it's crazy. You could steer away from a wall, but if you're too low you're fucked. They're using fisheye cameras so everything looks closer than it is, but it's still nuts.
Yeah that's true Ghetto. I still don't quite grasp what kind of slope 3:1 is.

Every 3 meters you drop you move forwards 1 meter.
I think it's the other way around.

No it isn't.-Sh1fty- wrote:

gradients expressed as x:y normally means horizontal:vertical i think?

To me horizontal to vertical is usually [x,y], but that's just me and my graph math
I could have sworn it was 3 meters across for every meter dropped. Those suits aren't that bad.
