I wouldn't feel sorry for him. It's damn hilarious that that bastard's personal life was shown to the world. Serves that dickhead right, I hope he's rotting in prison.

Heck, going to the trouble to steal somebody's computer, throw the guy in jail for life. I don't want that kind of scum around. What a dumbass lowlife POS.  /extremist

Well, it's a little extreme to shove somebody in the can for life because they stole a computer. He stole a computer, it wasn't something essential he needed to live. So he stole out of greed. Dumbasses like that are some of the lowest levels of scum on this Earth. I don't think they should be around. Hence my "Extreme" method of discipline.

The most admirable thing was his determination. I think I would have dropped it after a month or two. I guess thats what happens when you feel violated though. Computers are very personal things.

I can think of far worse people than those who steal computers...

Burglars are worse than Hitler... at least that motherfucker had a plan & agenda.. a burglar just wants to take your shit so he can sell your shit to buy whatever shit he is addicted to

If you watch some of the other defcon 18 videos its obvious these guys have got some serious skills. Really scary stuff. There's a reason this story was presented as just a funny anecdote, because he basically was powerless to do anything but wait. If the perp was stupid enough to not reformat and reconnect to the network then he automatically gets his computer back. Not really a challenge when you can watch the guy using your pc in real-time. And he wasn't really that determined either because he knew there was nothing he could do, if it wasn't for the dyndns service emails he probably would have wirtten it off as a lost cause.

well they definitely shouldn't be working behind bars giving out alcohol, they couldn't be trusted
