I like how everyone laughs and cheers at most of his jokes, except those about porn where there's a general nervous chuckle. Guess those hit a bit too close to home

The most admirable thing was his determination. I think I would have dropped it after a month or two. I guess thats what happens when you feel violated though. Computers are very personal things.
If you watch some of the other defcon 18 videos its obvious these guys have got some serious skills. Really scary stuff. There's a reason this story was presented as just a funny anecdote, because he basically was powerless to do anything but wait. If the perp was stupid enough to not reformat and reconnect to the network then he automatically gets his computer back. Not really a challenge when you can watch the guy using your pc in real-time. And he wasn't really that determined either because he knew there was nothing he could do, if it wasn't for the dyndns service emails he probably would have wirtten it off as a lost cause.
