I really suggest you to visit an otolaryngologist as soon as possible.
There are viral and bacterial infections that can fuck up your vocal cords permanently, leaving you with a voice of 60-year old, whisky-guzzling chain-smoker.

Also, IIRC, there are syndromes where you spontaneously lose your voice and can't get it back without surgery if you don't act soon enough.

Also, if you recently strained your voice you should visit a doctor anyway.
