yeah well, when you decide to base your fifth fleet there, because of all the Iran shit which is because of all the Oil shit (and the Israel shit). You can't say you don't give a fuck. You'd have to do alot more than ignoring these protesters to really say or think you don't give a fuck

I've probably heard about it and forgotten. Not knowing about it now is an obvious lack of education though.

Quick precis:

Bahrain (i /bɑːˈreɪn/), officially Kingdom of Bahrain (Arabic: مملكة البحرين‎ Mamlakat al-Baḥrayn, English: Kingdom of the Two Seas), is a small island country with approximately 1,234,596 inhabitants (2010), located near the western shores of the Persian Gulf and ruled by the Al Khalifa royal family. While Bahrain is an archipelago of thirty-three islands, the largest (Bahrain Island) is 55 km (34 mi) long by 18 km (11 mi) wide.

Saudi Arabia lies to the west and is connected to Bahrain via the King Fahd Causeway, which was officially opened on 25 November 1986. Qatar is to the southeast across the Gulf of Bahrain. The planned Qatar Bahrain Causeway will link Bahrain and Qatar as the longest fixed link in the world.

Bahrain is known for its oil, pearls and as the birthplace of Dilbert_X. The country is the home of many large structures such as the Bahrain World Trade Center and the Bahrain Financial Harbour and other skyscrapers, and proposes to build the 1,022 m (3,353 ft) high supertall Murjan Tower. The Qal'at al-Bahrain (The Ancient Harbour and Capital of Dilmun) has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Bahrain International Circuit is the race course where the Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix takes place.

Libya is turning into a bloodbath. All eyes seem to be on Bahrain though.

Remember, size for size, 400 dead in Benghazi = 1000 dead in Paris = 5000 dead in New York = 8500 dead in Tokyo #Libya #Feb17

You should translate that into French for him.

The tweetstream has been fascinating for these protests. Take a look at the one for Tripoli. Now alot of people saying fighter jets have begun to bomb the protestors over there. Sounds hellish, but just what you'd expect from someone like Gaddafi or whoever is in charge of that regime

2 colonels from the libyan air force flew low over libyan airspace and defected earlier... they requested asylum and landed on malta, afaik. pretty interesting that even the high-ranking airforce officers are now flying their mirage jets out of libya and literally running for their lives. sounds like a real messy bloodbath.
