Believe me, Hoegaarden is definitely not a beer aimed at women. There are two Belgian beers though, with such a reputation: Kriek and Rodenbach. They are basically the typical beers of choice for women in bars. However, most of them prefer white wine or cocktails (as long as their wallet can fund it) over beer.Jay wrote:
If your beer comes with a piece of fruit in it it's either a bad beer (Corona) or it was designed for vaginas (Hoegaarden/Blue Moon).
Since when is a girls choice of drink a pint of Belgium beer?Jay wrote:

Just had a couple pints of Hoegaarden. I've had it quite a few times, pretty good taste and it is nice and refreshing probably give it a 8/10.
Admittedly one of the reasons I bought it was for the glass

Never heard of it. Chicks here generally don't drink beer in pubs/clubs they drink mixes or cocktails. The only girls that buy beer in pubs are bogans or 40+ year olds and they generally buy cheap Aussie beer.Superior Mind wrote:

Certain types drink beer, others mixed. Same with everyone. I have guy friends that wont touch beer. Others that hate liquor.
Blue moon is usually around $5 a pint here.

Blue Moon is produced by Coors and is a knock off of Hoegaarden. And girls here are more likely to drink beer than mixed drinks (it's cheaper). No one orders wine in a bar.Little BaBy JESUS wrote:

Hoegaarden and similar aren't cheap here, so for the most part girls aren't going to drink it when it costs ~$4 more than a mixed drink (which most girls prefer the taste of anyway).Jay wrote:

I generally don't drink it when I'm out, only if i'm having a couple of quiet drinks in a bar and feel like one. It isn't worth having while on a big night because a lot of places don't stock it and those that do charge a fair bit.
Do you get any decent Asian beers for cheap?
There are decent Asian beers around (they aren't generally sold on tap though), but there are no beers here that you guys would consider cheap. Asian beer is generally cheaper than European/American beer (depends on brand obviously), but the most reasonably priced beer here is Australian and Australian beer makes up a fair majority of the market.
That said, import beer and microbrews are becoming more popular and are coming down in price and actually starting to compete.

I see a flaw in your theory, right about here---------------------------------^FlemishHCmaniac wrote:

Fuck Israel
I heard a Japanese beer by the name of Orion is pretty good from the tap. General rule about Asian beers: stay away from shit made in China or Taiwan. Korean and Japanese beers are pretty good imo. Korean beer is a tad sweet in general while most Jap beers go for a lot of dryness.Little BaBy JESUS wrote:

I've never had an Asian beer that I liked.Cybargs wrote:
