I had this conversation with two guys I used to work with. One is 6'8 and the other is about 5'11. The 5'11 guy said if a fight broke out in a bar he (the big guy) would be the first one the smaller guy would go for. I just turned 21, and I really don't feel like dealing with peoples shit. If push comes to shove then me, my amateur MMA puerto rican friend (he fought off 4 black guys, witnessed it myself.) and my buddy I spar with, will knock some heads in. People always wanta take on the big guy. Especially if they know the big guy is soft and they can look good in front of their mates. I did something similar to the kid in the OP myself. Just snapped and hurt someone real bad. But I never got any problems after that for the rest of my school days.
Then when I started hitting the bars, the same thing started happening. Drunks who wanta take on the happy looking big guy to look good in front of their friends. I walked away many times. But it got worse as people in a small town got to know I would take shit. Violence ruins my night out and this was why I kept walking away from situations. But someone made the mistake of giving me, then my little sister abuse once night. Well what I did to that guy, then his friend that night guaranteed I haven't had any problems since.
