I feel like the only reason you'd wear them is if you want to restrict blood circulation to your nuts.
By the sound of it you're wearing ones 3 sizes too small. I'm a recent convert to boxer briefs. I now own 14 pairs of Underarmour boxer briefs and they are fucking glorious. It's like my junk is wrapped in marshmallows whilst having a cool breeze blowing over them.

Hmm, UA briefs might be better. It's not THAT constricting but it's pretty bad IMO.

i have and wear boxers and boxer briefs on a regular basis. i probably prefer boxers over briefs though, so much more freedom
