Ain't excuse, it's fact. I am going to see about how the hell I can join the Army once I am 18. I unfortunately may have to run away from the house and find a recruitment center as my parents aren't going to drive me and I don't have a car or anything, don't even have a license.eleven bravo wrote:

You definitely want to start doing research now. Familiarize yourself with the history of your chosen branch, as well as basic rules, procedures and the upper-up chain of command. And if you're out of shape at all, get into shape now. Boot camp shouldn't be used as a fat camp, nor should you burden yourself with having to learn stuff there that you could have memorized before you arrived. Take a good look at job offers and prerequisites, and whether or not you'd be satisfied as enlisted or prefer to be an officer. If it turns out you don't qualify for the job you want, you could get qualified with a stint in college hammering out the courses you need.War Man wrote:

War Man is like a walking sitcom, if it were to only take place in one household for the entire length of the series.
Why would you want to enlist anyway? Chances are you'll end up washing stains off a monument instead of some sort of Band of Brothers shit. My friend was gonna enlist after high school, but he's waited and in the meantime became a paramedic (you know, something useful).
I have to disagree with that right there. most people have the oppurtunity to go grunt they just think they are smarter for that or are too scared. two mos's in the army that are never full, infantryman and truck driver.
