As for Marine recon, the USMC is its own branch of the military and as such they have their own special forces.
We also can't forget the CIA's Special Activities Division.

army green berets have more than one mission of fucking shit up. these guys guerilla fighters by design. meant to be out in the shit with zero support for long periods of time, training and fighting with local nationals
delta force does that run gun save the hostage shit
navy seals go in, destroy shit and leave
marine force recon does long range recon patrols
airforce pararescue does pararescue
rangers do shit like SEALs cept they are meant for longer deployments and more heavily involved in regular combat
