I'd gladly take the $50k.
The odds for a red/black bet of 46.37% (or 48.6% on a European roulette table) are too low of a chance IMO to justify ending up with zero.

Players using the Martingale system do not have any long-term mathematical advantage over any other betting system or even randomly placed bets.

the risk is very low if you know what you are doing though. if you make it a rule to go away once you are up, say, a hundred bucks you could easily pull it off every time with a relatively small money reserve.

true. but, as i said, if you set you winning cap low you can easily have a money reserve which puts you at as low a risk as, say, getting in a car accident. you do drive a car, don't you?

Nah, I got it after my post. With his series of bets, eventually he wins $50. It could cost $1,000 to win that $50, but he'll walk away with $1,050 in the end.

Which is why a group of us would do it..lol

It never went more than four spins though. *not to say it couldn't B-) There were times we hit it in one try.
You get over five its brix shatting time. But again, it helps to be in a group.
